Characteristics and peculiarities |
- This model was built by order of Brunei on an exclusive basis. Specifications and technical details are not revealed.
- This model is also known as Rolls-Royce Royale and Rolls-Royce Phantom VII Royale.
- The Phantom Royale is a 7-seat limousine based on a stretched and widened Continental R platform.
- The model was designed by PFSR, Pininfarina Studi E Ricerche from Turin, Italy. Pininfarina was asked to create a new-shape Phantom. The Phantom Royale got styling cues of the Phantom VI.
- The first order of four cars was built by PFSR. However, the repeat order of two cars was built by Bertone from Turin, Italy.
- The cars were built on the technics of the Silver Spur (III) Touring Limousine.
- The engine was the same as in the Rolls-Royce Flying Spur (1995), with turbo and without catalyst. The engines of the model year 1997 cars were the same as the Bentley Turbo R, with turbo and without catalyst.

- This model has the letter "H" on the fifth position in the chassis number. This letter indicates a non standard model for selected customers, especially Brunei. The serial numbers at the end of the chassis numbers don't belong to the regular numbers in that model year.
- Chassis number SCAZW04A8SCH80138 is a Rolls-Royce Silver Spur III Touring Limousine that is part of the regular production numbers.
