Characteristics and peculiarities

Backgrounds of this model
- The Rolls-Royce Ghost Extended wheelbase is unveiled at the Shanghai Motor Show in the Summer of 2011. Production of the Ghost Extended wheelbase began in Autumn 2011.
- The Ghost Extended wheelbase offers additional space for rear passengers. To create the Ghost Extended wheelbase, an additional 170 mm was added to the rear passenger compartment.

Original characteristics
- The Ghost Extended Wheel base is powered by the 6.6 litre twin turbo charged V12 engine of the Ghost, delivering 563 hp, 780Nm of torque at 1500 tpm; it has an eight-speed ZF automatic gearbox.
- New forged wheels.
- Lounge seats in the rear. Theatre configuration is available as an option.
- Passengers can activate climate control regulating the temperature of the air on their side of the car, access TV channels and CDs, radio or browse the navigation menu. There is an audio system delivering 600 Watts through a 10-channel amplifier and 16 speakers. USB and auxiliary inputs can be integrated.
- Functions are displayed on two 9.2 inch LCD screens in front-seat backs; these can be angled to suit the viewer and are managed via a central rotary controller mounted on the armrest.
- A panoramic sunroof is a standard addition.
- The rear doors are just 35 mm longer than those in the front.
- A power reserve gauge on the fascia.
- 12 exterior colours, each of which can be contrasted by an optional Silver Satin bonnet.

Production and chassis numbers

- Although the Ghost Extended wheelbase was introduced in 2011, no chassis numbers were assigned in model year 2011. The first model year is 2012.
- The Ghosts have a series of numbers of their own.
