Characteristics and peculiarities |
- This model was built by order of Brunei on an exclusive basis. Specifications and technical details are not revealed.
- The Sufacon was the first special car project that deviated considerably from a standard production car.
- Styling changes were carried out by Styling International.
- The car was also called "Bentley Continental R Superfast" or "Bentley Superfast Continental R". SUFACON is the abbreviation of SUper FAst CONtinental.
- The Bentley Continental R with Sufacon engine was an uprated Continental R. The engine was the P300 L410M300 engine that boosted 527bhp. Acceleration for 0-60 mph required 5.0 seconds. Brakes and wheels were uprated as well.
- The Superfast Continental R was fitted with Azure twin tower sports seats and with revised bumpers and louvres in the bonnet. On some examples all exterior chrome areas were made black.
- Applied paint colours were among others Black, Royal blue and Jade green. Interior hide colours were amongst others black, Royal blue and "special green".

Production and chassis numbers |
- The standard Continental R got the letter "B" on the 5th position of the chassis number. The exclusively for Brunei manufactured model can be recognised by the letter "H" on the 5th position. This letter indicates a non standard model for selected customers, especially Brunei. The serial numbers at the end of the chassis numbers don't belong to the regular numbers in that model year.
- The chassis numbers with the "R" on the tenth position belong to model year 1994, with the "S" to model year 1995. It is likely that some chassis numbers were changed due to delay during production.
