Characteristics and peculiarities - This model was built by order of Brunei on an exclusive basis. Specifications and technical details are not revealed. - The model was designed and built by Hawtal Whiting. Armouring was fitted by Manor Armour in Bridgewater, Somerset. - The Continental R Long wheelbase was a lengthened Continental R 4-door. It was built on the four inch longer underframe of the Silver Spur. This enabled a four inch longer rear compartment. - 14 examples were built. Furthermore six examples were built with full armouring. - The engine was the Bentley Continental R Sufacon engine, without catalyst. - Applied paint colours were among others Emerald green, Sandringham Pearl and Black. Interior hide colours were among others Black and "Special green". Some cars got reflective glass. Production and chassis numbers - The standard Continental R got the letter "B" on the 5th position of the chassis number. The exclusively for Brunei manufactured model can be recognised by the letter "H" on the 5th position. This letter indicates a non standard model for selected customers, especially Brunei. The serial numbers at the end of the chassis numbers don't belong to the regular numbers in that model year.
