Characteristics and peculiarities

Backgrounds of this model
- Rolls-Royce has created the black badge products from 2016 as a response to a new kind of client. These products are "darker in aesthetic, more urgent in personality and dramatic in material treatment". The Black badge characterizes the alter ego of Rolls-Royce: assertive, dynamic and potent.
- Rolls-Royce debuted Black Badge with the Wraith and Ghost in 2016, followed by the Dawn in 2017 (model year 2018) then the Cullinan in 2019 (model year 2020). The black badge motor cars are codified by the mathematical symbol that represents a potential infinity, also known as the Lemniscate.

Original characteristics
- The engine is the same 6.75 litre V12 engine as the Cullinan engine, albeit with extra power (to 600hp) and with 900Nm of torque.
- Both the Double R badge and the Flying lady are finished in black. For the Flying lady a specific chrome electrolyte is introduced to the traditional chrome plating process that is co-deposited on the stainless-steel substrate, darkening the finish.
- In the interior the black colour is continued on instruments and other features. The air vents on the dash and in the rear are darkened.
- The 'Unlimited' infinity logo is also embroidered on the upholstery.

Production and chassis numbers

The Cullinan Black badge was introduced 7th November 2019. The first examples were built with a model year 2019 VIN.
